#SW4All: SWHPN Tweetchat on Social Justice in the Time of COVID
Wednesday, June 03, 2020, 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
Category: Events

Join us on Twitter for a discussion about health disparities in the COVID-19 Pandemic. This month's SWHPN Social Justice Tweetchat will focus on disparities in racial and ethnic data and how this impacts the Pandemic response.

Discussion for June 3rd Tweetchat:

  • Question 1: Why is it important for all states to release data on a number of demographics including race and ethnicity of patients tested, diagnosed with, treated for, and died from COVID-19?
  • Question 2: The history of racial and ethnic institutional inequality is perpetuated by institutional policies that fail to look at their own history and take demographics and differences into account. Going forward, how could this be different?
  • Question 3: What can #HAPC, and specifically social workers, do to highlight and address the racial and ethnic inequalities we see in our clinical practice, advocacy, and research?
