Social Work Hospice and Palliative Care Network (SWHPN) Seeks an Interim Executive Director

SWHPN enhances hospice and palliative care social work through mentorship, education, community building, and advocacy as change agents committed to equity and anti-racism. We start with ourselves to dismantle harms perpetuated within the systems in which we exist.

Job Description:

Highly qualified candidates will have demonstrated success in non-profit program operations management, membership recruitment and sustainability, educational program operations, member services, and fiscal management. Experience in hospice and palliative care and/or social work is highly desirable.

Job responsibilities include planning oversight and attendance of the annual conference, personnel management collaboration with the Board of Directors regarding long-term strategic planning, organizational management, and sustaining existing operations through an anti-racist lens, incorporating principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion into all levels of the organization, as aligned with the organization’s mission and vision statements.

The position is available immediately and is expected to last 6-9 months. The position is anticipated to be .6- 1.0 FTE, negotiable, to be managed virtually with some flexibility for in-person meetings as scheduled, as well as the annual conference. Salary commensurate with experience. The position will remain open until filled.
