Liz Mayfield Arnold, Ph. D, LCSW is currently Assistant Professor, The Graduate School of Social Work, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Core Faculty, Duke Institute on Care at the End of Life, Duke University, Durham, NC. Dr. Arnold received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University, her MSW degree from the University of Georgia, and her doctorate from Florida State University. Prior to her current position, Dr. Arnold was Research Associate, The Institute for Health and Human Services Research, Florida State University. Dr. Arnold has worked with persons at the end of life and their families in a variety of health and mental health settings. Her research interests include suicide and assisted suicide, ethical issues in health care, and unmet needs at the end of life..
